, still wet. that rain going into baltimore and areas up around i-83. seeing the showers dwindle and dry up just off to the south and west. throughout the day today, getting warm scattered showers and embedded heavier rains around the area. the moisture that's in the air right now, it's got big potential. it could rain somewhere around one to two inches per hour. so when we get those downpours around the area we could see some isolated flooding. 3:00 today, some storms possible, too, as we get into the evening hours here on tuesday and even for 8:00, 9:00, still a little wet with tomorrow morning, yeah, you guessed it, more of the showers around the area. front is coming in for wednesday. even by noontime, tomorrow we could see some heavier rain and some thunderstorms around the area. for the weekend, theed of the week, in fact, saturday and sunday, we're keeping our eye on this storm. it's leslie. a category 2 hurricane approaching bermuda could lead to some rough surf and some rip currents along the beachers for the weekend. your forecast, next three days looking wet. right now, friday

're heading out to baltimore to redding to philadelphia, especially here in central new jersey, some really heavy downpours and those are trying to drift up here toward long island. so areas throughout no, during your early morning commute, you may deal with some heavy downpour. then we're dealing with leslie. it is still a tropical storm but it has strength rched a little bit. looks like possibly a category 2 hurricane by saturday. if it does we'll have pretty good upcoming waves and the rip current will be very high along the eastern seaboard. surfers will love it but it will be dangerous for anyone going to the beaches. showers along the air yas. look how hot it is still in texas. we'd like to get rid of those 100s. that's a look at your national forecast. now here's a look at the weather outside your window. today in chicago, 87 degrees. the front is kind of stalling out just to your south. you'll be okay. memphis still very warm at 95. look at oklahoma city, 103. we really haven't gotten any rain in a long time. so the heat in the middle of the country still with the drought conditions

in frederick. 83 in baltimore. 82 towards la plata. a very warm atmosphere. take a look at the heat intex. even at this hour even though we're not dealing with a whole lot of sunshine, 90 in dc. 96 toward frederick, soupy atmo. a tu stofew storms trying to ma their way toward the metro area down to the south and west. those should die out over the next couple of hours. what may not die out, though, are these showers down here toward the south. some very heavy rain down around roanoke right now. this is a boundary that looks like it's going to stay together and move right up the eastern portions of the blue ridge. we could see some fairly heavy rain overnight tonight. if you're thinking about going to the nationals game tonight, i think you're fine. will there be a brief shower? it's possible. but i think they're going to get the game in without any real problems. tomorrow we'll be watching out for the this back here. notice this line of showers and thunderstorms. this is actually a frontal boundary. this frontal boundary will help to sweep on through the area. that's what's going to help to giv
